What does it mean to build something that outlasts you?
As shared in our last year we are looking at the legacy we can leave for others. We often think of this like a relay race. We took the baton from those who came before us who wanted to be part of building a kinder world where people and the planet suffer less and now, it is time for us to pass that baton on to others, who in time will pass it on. Each of us takes the hopes of a kinder world forward a little further as none of us can do this alone and we never really own anything, we are simply stewards for a while.
This series of slides offer moments in time for COPE Scotland and how we moved forward in our relay race to help be part of building a kinder world. We were not alone in that journey, the route was set by the voices of lived experience and communities as this is their story. Our role for a while was to work with people to see how we could help. We share these slides for anyone who may wonder who COPE Scotland were and what it was they actually achieved. The slides also pose a question at the end which may prompt an interesting conversation.
