Self and collective care matters
At a time when often we have more to do than time to do it, selfcare can feel like another chore. It is interesting often people share since lockdown how people connect to each other has changed, during lockdown people looked out for each other, now it can feel as if with all that is going on, people do not have the time to think about others as so often they are just trying to get through their day. Creating a culture of self and collective care matters for all of us as all our wellbeing matters. From the 17th-23rd of November is selfcare week. There are lots of events on during this time which can offer ideas e.g. with GCVS we are offering a workshop to colleagues in the third sector in Glasgow around boundaries and self care we are also offering a workshop to people who volunteer to remind them their wellbeing matters too we are also offering a workshop on the 21st of November 11-12 around ideas for self and collective care, contact us for more information. We are also launching our new selfcare card which complements the selfcare score card which you can access on the site.
Everyone of us has it in us to look after ourselves and look out for each other, we can build a kinder world for everyone, even if only one conversation or act of kindness at a time. Thanks for reading.
