Digital Connectivity Resource booklet

While we recognise the importance and value of face to face connections, we also realise that we are in a digital age where more things are happening online including how people can access services including health services. That is not to say there are not other ways to stay connected, however, not being digitally connected may make people be left out of opportunities those who are connected can take advantage of.

Listening to the challenges faced by those living in remote and island communities, we created a Jigsaw Lid of the pieces they identified which would help them to be connected.  We then made that into a booklet. There are two versions which we can use here, one is an online version which has hyperlinks enabled, the other is a print version which offers the web addresses.

Thanks also to support from the SnowDrop Centre in Lochgilphead we were able to have 200 hard copies made.  We shall be distributing some of these copies through the Digital Citizen Panel and we are grateful to the members who helped with the co-design of this resource. While this was created for those living in remote and island communities, it may be of interest to anyone who is keen on finding out more about the support available to be more digitally connected.

Feel free to check out the other AI and Tech resources presentation on the MAKI part of our website where there may be other items of interest. Feel free to download and print this booklet into formats which suit you and those you know.

Hi, I’m Kirsty!

The designer behind Kirsty M Design.

I love small businesses and working with business owners to build websites that support their dreams is such an awesome part of my job! Why let the huge faceless corporations have all the fun (and the money)? Your small business can make a huge difference but it needs a smart website to support it.
