    This ‘nudging’ poster was created listening to those who find themselves in an unpaid caring role or supporting unpaid carers of the things which would be helpful to think about around the needs of unpaid carers before even the person comes home.

    We’d also like to draw your attention to the four complementary reports below, published in January by Social Work Scotland, around the impacts of reductions to Self-directed Support (SDS) personal budgets, and the state and future of social work and social care funding in Scotland. 

  • Audit Scotland finance bulletin for Integration Joint Boards (IJBs) in 2024-25

    This bulletin shows the difficult position facing integrated health and social care services.

    Key risks to financial sustainability include significant budget gaps, lower levels of reserves to draw on, and reliance on non-recurring savings. To bridge this financial gap in the coming years, without additional funding, the report notes that IJBs will need to make difficult decisions about services.
