Problem solving
It would be fair to say, none of us like having problems, yet how many of us enjoy the satisfaction of solving puzzles? Maybe because a crossword puzzle, or word search, or whatever puzzles you enjoy have no immediate impact on our lives apart from something we do for enjoyment. However, if we can find a way to reframe how we view problems as puzzles to be solved, or adapted to, then perhaps we may find they cause us less anxiety and more curiosity. Now it matters when we are faced with a problem that we find ways to relax and be in the moment, to respond and not react. However, when we take the time to look for solutions, address what is bothering us, this can lead to feelings of satisfaction, accomplishment and even boost our self-esteem and confidence.
